Thursday February 1st, 2024, for their first match of the U-17 Women's Championship of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), qualifier for the 2024 World Cup in the category, our Grenadières in the Group A made a successful entry by winning [2-1] against the "Ticas" of Costa Rica, thanks to a double from the talented Grenadier Lourdjina Étienne.

Starting XI :

In the first period our very offensive Grenadières (Pierreline Nazon, Annabela Fleuriot and Lourdjina Etienne) failed on 6 opportunities to open the scoring against the efficient Costa Rican goalkeeper Isabella Arvide Zaomora. We had to wait until stoppage time for Lourdjina Etienne to finally open the score for Haiti 45+1’ [1-0]

Returning from the locker room, Costa Rica's ticas tried to restore the score but came up against Haitian goalkeeper Kimberlie Cadet.

In the 59th minute, taking advantage of an empty cage at the Ticas, Lourdjina Etienne with a precise shot scored the double of this match and pushed the score [2-0] in favor of Haiti

Daniela Ocampo [89'] saves the Ticas from humiliation by reducing the gap [2-1], score unchanged at the end of this match.
